Sue Pownall is a nomadic artist travelling
the world for inspiration.

Originally from the UK, Sue Pownall is an artist travelling extensively for inspiration, and is currently based in Oman. She portrays the essence of her surroundings in realistic pen and ink drawings. In addition, her sketchbook is her constant companion as she sketches the details that give each location its particular flavour in both pen and watercolour washes.

Sue studied general art and design at North Essex School of Art, UK. Afterwards, she studied graphic design at Plymouth College of Art & Design, UK. Sue is a member of the Omani Society for Fine Arts and Colchester Art Society.

Since December 2010, she has been participating in exhibitions, she has published books of her illustration & photos from Khartoum and Cuba, and her illustrations have been commissioned from various sources. Moreover, Sue has featured in magazines & newspapers.
