July course: Exploring Watercolours
Ever wanted to learn the basics of handling watercolours?
In this short practical course we will look at washes, glazes, splashes, mixing, textures and more. Tutored by professional artist Sue Pownall.
This is a course for beginners.
Monday evenings 7-9pm 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th July
Garrad Room, Bures Community Centre, Bures, Suffolk
you will need a minimum of a red, blue and yellow watercolour paint pans or tubes, plus an assortment of watercolour paintbrushes (numbers 4, 6, 8 and 10 are useful but not complusory). Paper A5 minimum or A4 Watercolour paper (300 gsm is best but again not compulsory) or mixed media paper - cartridge and printer paper is not suitable.
Also, if your paint is not in a tin a saucer for mixing plus a jar for water and a cloth (an old flannel is great).
